Senior Java Engineer

Location: Franklin, TN—on-site, relocation assistance available, flexible schedules available
Salary: $99,000 - $145,000/year* + profit sharing + benefits
*Range depends on skill level and overall experience.

Ramsey Solutions Headquarters is located just outside of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee. We value our strong, unified company culture because we believe the best work is done together. What You’d Do in This Role:
You will be responsible for tackling complex technical challenges, and mentoring fellow engineers, all while developing deep business and domain knowledge across our products. This person needs to be a natural born leader, someone who is a tone setter and can provide proactive business solutions through the use of technology and a positive mindset around tackling the business challenges at hand.
 
You’re Probably a Match If:
  • You have 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • You have strong backend development skills, with experience in Ruby, Kotlin, Java, or similar languages.
  • You have a desire to work in the code daily.
  • You have previous experience leading processes and mentoring other engineers.
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills, love teamwork, and have a positive approach toward overcoming business challenges.
  • You have a willingness to develop business acumen and domain knowledge in our products.

What Winning Looks Like:
  • Work primarily within backend/ full stack code of React frontend, Kotlin, Ruby, and Java backend
  • Consistently deliver high-quality software solutions with a focus on integration testing, documentation, and shareability
  • Address technical challenges and solving problems that will help stretch your skillset and experience
  • Participate in user interviews to identify customer problems and apply domain knowledge to develop technical solutions
  • Actively mentor and support fellow engineers, helping them enhance their skills
  • Collaborate with a positive mindset, helping the team see and overcome business challenges
