Role Description

This is a remote Full-Stack Engineering Internship with a clear path to full-time employment and equity for strong performers. You’ll work closely with Gideon (Founder & CEO) and Jediah (CTO) on production features used by real users.

This is not a “watch and learn” internship. You’ll be writing real code, shipping to production, and helping shape the product.

We move fast, ship often, and iterate based on real users and real data. We’re a lean, mission-driven team where every contribution matters and your work directly impacts how people grow in their faith.

What You’ll Work On (Day-to-Day)

Build and improve frontend features for our web and mobile experiences
Develop and maintain backend logic, APIs, and services
Work with databases (Firebase / Firestore or similar)
Implement new product features and rapid experiments
Debug, optimize, and refactor existing systems
Collaborate directly on product decisions, not just tickets

You’ll Help Drive

Core product development: shipping features end-to-end
Performance & reliability: improving speed, stability, and scalability
Product iteration: rapidly testing ideas based on user feedback and data
Developer velocity: improving internal tooling and workflows
Technical quality: clean, readable, maintainable code

Required Qualifications

Strong fundamentals in JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar)
Experience or familiarity with backend development (Node.js or equivalent)
Understanding of APIs, databases, and basic system architecture
Comfortable working independently and learning quickly
Strong ownership mindset — you finish what you start

Bonus

Experience with Firebase / Firestore
Experience building consumer or mobile-first products
Familiarity with React Native or mobile development
Understanding of product experimentation or analytics
Prior startup, indie hacker, or personal project experience

What Won’t Work Here

Needing constant hand-holding or rigid task definitions
Slow iteration cycles — we move quickly
Only academic or theoretical experience with no real projects
Lack of ownership or follow-through
